アメリカからのお客様に英語ガイドをしました｜Guide Report

とてもありがたいことに、同じ方から4回目の依頼をいただき、今回はアメリカからお越しの5名のお客様に英語ガイドをさせていただきました。開始時刻が急遽30分遅く変更になったので、踊りの実演時刻の変更をお願いして、訪問場所を増やして散策の時間をゆったりとることにしました。

Thankfully, I received a fourth offer from the same person, and this time I guided five customers from the United States in English. The start time was suddenly changed to 30 minutes later, so I asked to change the time of the dance performance and decided to visit more places and take our time to explore.

「へっあまめなかな」をお伝えしたら、ちょうど「しのぶ」さんにお会いして、あいさつから郡上談義に花を咲かせてくださいました。「おかしのもりた」さんでも、「風立ちぬ」の先生にお会いしたり、店主さんと会話を楽しんだり、地元の方とふれあうことができ貴重な時間になりました。ありがとうございました。

When I told them "Heaa Mamenakana", we met "Shinobu" and we started talking about Gujo from the moment we greeted each other. At "Okashi no Morita", I met the teacher of "Kaze Tachinu". We enjoyed a conversation with the store owner. They could interact with local people, which was a precious time. Thank you very much.

食品サンプル作り、鯉の餌やり、共同井戸で水汲み、駄菓子屋さんでお買い物、野中稲荷神社で参拝、博覧館で郡上おどり体験などをしていただいて、ただ観るだけでなく、実際に体験して郡上のよさを味わっていただきました。博覧館では、同時通訳にも挑戦しました。アメリカ・日本・台湾・シンガポール各国代表のみなさまで国際交流の春駒はとっても素敵でした。

They made food replicas, fed the carp, drew water from the communal well, shopped at the candy store, learned how to pray at Yanaka Inari Shrine, and experienced Gujo Odori at Hakurankan. They didn't only watch, but actually experienced and enjoyed the goodness of Gujo. At Hakurankan, I also tried simultaneous interpretation. The representatives from the US, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore danced Harukoma. It was wonderful as the international exchange.

きれいな青空の下、笑顔の素敵なみなさまと、満開の八重桜、枝垂れ桜や新緑と一緒に写真を撮れたこともうれしかったです。美並にも興味を持ってくださり、次回は美並にも行きたいと仰ってくださり感激しました。ぜひまた夏にお越しいただき、美並の滝めぐりや郡上おどりを楽しみましょうね。楽しい時間をありがとうございました🌸

It was also fantastic to be able to take photos with all the lovely smiling people under the clear blue sky, with the beautiful double cherry blossoms, weeping cherry blossoms in full bloom and fresh greenery. I was also happy that they were interested in Minami and said they would like to go there next time. Please come again in the summer and enjoy visiting waterfalls in Minami and dancing Gujo Odori together. I really appreciate the fantastic time spent with them🌸
